SRFL is the abbreviation of Sekinan Research Field of Languagewhich was foiunded in 2003 at Hakuba, Nagano, Japan. In 2004 Its base moved to Tokyo for more deepening the research activity. In these days the writing style of papers was greatly influenced by Luvig Wittgenstein's TRACTATUS LOGICO-PHILOSOPHCUS 1922 and the motif of study was originated from Edward Sapir's Language An Introduction to the Study of Speech 1921.
SRFL started originally as a study library named Sekinan Library at Tachikawa, Tokyo in 1986 .From that time on, several sites have been made for the various research activity, In learning days of 1970s, Kurt Godel and Nicolas Bourbaki were strong admiration of keeping the study.
In 1980s, the heart of activity was study of Chinese ancient hieroglph influenced by the Qing Dynasty's scholar WANG Guowei. But last time of 80s, research turned to the basic factors of language, gradually putting language universals in shape.
In 2015, Sekinan Tokyo has started as the portal site of Sekinan's some 30 year activity. SRFL Note is also active for the working site of Sekinan Tokyo.
