Henry David Thoreau's " In Wildness Is the preservation of the World" with the photographs by Eliot Porter, 1962

Yesterday read Henry David Thoreau's " In Wildness Is the preservation of the World" with the photographs by Eliot Porter, 1962.  I feel the universality of nature, that is over the nations or the difference of the Occidental and Oriental. Thoreau's sentences are so fine as the following.

March 30, 1984
Pray, what thing interest me at present? Along, soaking rain, the drops trickling down the stubble, while I lay drenched on last year's bed of wild oats, by the side of some bare hill, ruminating.
